What do you think about really high quality digital wedding invitations?
I’d like to send really professional looking, flash based wedding invitations instead of paper invitations for my wedding next year. When I refer to high quality, I am talking about the level of quality found in the design work of professional advertising firms. I’m trying to find a company that provides this, but there doesn’t seem to be anything available, other than hiring a firm to build one from scratch (this is quite expensive). I really have two questions:
1. Does anyone know where I can get really high quality flash wedding invitations?
2. What do you think of the idea of sending high quality flash wedding invitations? Tacky? Unique? Preferable?
Thanks,
Ava
I should add that I would plan to email this digital invitation as a link rather than send a CD or DVD.
I should also note that I’m not looking for some free or even near-free invitation. I imagine that to get the quality I require I’m going to need to pay. So if anyone knows of a service I could pay for that’s not hyper extravagant…

It’s not the quality of the electronicness that matters, it’s the fact that it’s free, untraditional, informal, and yes, tacky. Nothing unique about it…it’s been done.
I’m a flash designer at a digital advertising agency and I still sent paper invitations to my guests. Why you ask? Because there’s nothing as personal and inviting as a nice old fashioned paper invitation. Besides, a coworker of mine did this and all the mini CDs he sent broke in the mail, so his guests got an envelope full of plastic shards.
PLEASE! It just reeks of trying to save costs! That’s not professional no matter how pro it’s done.
I agree with the first person…it looks cheap…like sending out a E- CARD .besides not everyone has a computer.
